EFLA Transport Division offers general services for preparation, organization and design of transportation construction. The division also provides consulting about about the execution, supervision and oepration of transportation construction.
The marketing division is made up of experts on traffic technology, organization, safety, and road and street construction, and bridge design. In designing tunnels we work closely with experts in the area of geotechnical engineering. Our staff have been active in general discussion and have conducted a considerable number of studies in the field of traffic concerns and traffic safety. They have also introduced various innovations both in the design of grade-separated intersections and bridges and have, among other things, won a competition for the design of a footbridge in Reykjavik.
The division of Transport is divided into two sub-divisions: Traffic and Planning on the one hand and Transportation Structures on the other. Specialists in the field of traffic and organization see to a wide variety of projects, including traffic technology, organization of vehicular traffic, design of footpaths and bicycle lanes, traffic safety, scrutiny and assessment of the safety factors of transportation construction, and organization plans. They also provide consulting on street maintenance. The division of Transport works on the design of roads, bridges, garages, streets, stairs and foot bridges, and premises as well as a great many other factors related to transportation and communication.
