Afl, Línuhönnun, RTS and Verkfræðistofa Suðurlands have merged into a new engineering consulting company under the name EFLA, as off October 10th 2008.

Línuhönnun is an Iceland-based company of consulting engineers, offering service in a wide range of different fields. The Company has extensive professional knowledge and is composed of a diversified team of specialists.
Línuhönnun was established in 1979 to plan and design high-voltage transmission lines. This work continues to be a cornerstone of our service, including in-house specialised software development that already supports design for energy transmission projects in about 30 countries. We also have participated in other areas of the energy sector, particularly in design and maintenance of hydropower plants.
